The Easter Bobby

May 23, 2006
The eggs in the back were actually the "hard" ones.

OK, so these pictures are a month old.  But they're good pictures.

Here's what I learned about Easter this year.

    1) It is difficult enough to explain to a 20-month-old why they should be picking up plastic eggs, but nigh impossible when you have no idea either.

    2) If your child does not like dirt, he will be even less likely to pick up the eggs.

OK, so he picked up a few of the eggs, and he was really kicking himself later when he found out there were M+Ms in them.  He's also added "Bunny" to his word list, only he calls them "Bobbies", which is unbearably cute.

Still, a little more enthusiasm might make Easter a bit more fun next time.

Oh, and here's a gratuitous self-congratulatory picture of the garden a month later post bark dust.  WHO'S YOUR GARDEN DADDY! SAY IT!  THAT'S RIGHT!
